What We Do

15th February 2017
We help improve the lives and life chances of 7000 children every year. We do this by alleviating the impact of poverty on struggling families and improving the life chances of children so they grow up to break the cycle of poverty. Our activities include: - Running a community shop where parents and carers can shop with credit for day-to-day necessities like clothes and bedding, as well as goods at expensive times of year - Organising book clubs during holidays and half-term breaks to promote reading and literacy to children and their parents - Helping out with the costs of school through our unique SmartStart project which kits out children with uniform and other school necessities - Raising awareness about child poverty through talks, communications and living heritage activities To find out more about our activities read our 2016 annual review here or support our work by making a donation
