We support families living on a low income in Manchester and Salford, who struggle to make ends meet. We offer help with the practical things that can make a big difference to everyday life.
In 2018, we have been able to help 3,199 children have a smart start to the beginning of the new school year by providing uniform and other school essentials.
We run Book Clubs in the school holidays to provide thousands of free books for children, to encourage an enjoyment of reading and improve literacy.
In 2019 we will be celebrating our 150th anniversary. We have a long and varied history but our focus has always been to support those living in poverty.
48,000 children live in poverty throughout Manchester and Salford, which can make Christmas a time of struggle and great anxiety for many families. So this year, @UKFast is supporting @WoodSt_Mission Christmas Appeal. Find out how you can help here: ukfast.co.uk/blog/2018/11/1… Retweeted by Wood Street Mission
