Donate to our Christmas Appeal 2018 and help make Christmas special for thousands of local children.
Every donation you give will make a positive difference to local children and families dealing with the impact poverty has on their lives. Help give them a Christmas to remember.
You can make a one off donation or set up a regular donation to us easily and securely online.
How your money will help
- £5 will buy a brand new book for a child to take home at one of our Book Clubs
- £10 will provide a new toy for a child at Christmas
- £20 will provide a winter coat to keep a child warm and dry
- £40 would kit out a child with new uniform for the start of the school year
- £100 would provide a family with a cot and bedding for a new baby to ensure safe sleeping
If you would prefer to make a donation to Wood Street Mission by cheque, or set up a regular donation by standing order, please download our donation form below and return to us. Make sure you tick the Gift Aid box if your donation is eligible – this means for every £1 you donate to us we receive 25p from HMRC at no extra cost to you – making your donation go even further in support of our work.

Donate children’s clothes, toys, books, toiletries, bedding and baby equipment to be passed on directly to families who need them.
- Support Us In Your Workplace
If you work for a company who would like to support us, perhaps as your Charity of the Year, or are holding an event to raise funds, get in touch and let us know your plans! We will help and support you as much as we can.
- Volunteer With Us
We have various opportunities to donate your time and volunteer with us, from sorting donations to helping out at our Book Clubs, to sorting gifts during our busy Christmas period. There’s plenty to do!
- Fundraise For Us
Get physical and raise funds through a sponsored challenge event, or hold an event to raise funds for us, we can provide you with support to get your ideas into action!
- Leave a Gift in Your Will
After your family, remember Wood Street with a gift in your will, to ensure we are able to help support families in the future, as and when they need us.
