Spooky Goings On

22nd November 2017
On Friday 27th October 2017 there were some very spooky happenings at Collier House in Gorton! Over 60 children, along with their parents, attended our Halloween Book Club. We all had an amazing time and through the huge generosity of KPMG, not only did the children have a free lunch but they also went away with a brand new spooky story to read. KPMG also provided a brilliant team of volunteers who distributed new books, helped children choose a Halloween costume, looked after our little 'Leap Pad' group and also helped supervise (and then clear away!) the event. A huge thanks to all the KPMG crew as well as our regular volunteers. During the event children were also able to access lots (and lots!) of pre-loved books that had been donated by you our fantastic donors...and we are sure that there will be lots of reading going on in the next few weeks. The various competitions proved popular and prizes were awarded to a number of young people who had written spooky stories and poems or completed colouring sheets. Well done to everyone involved!
