With a project the size of our Christmas Appeal it's just not possible to deliver something on this scale without the support of our volunteers. Volunteers are often described as the backbone of charities and in our case, they most certainly are. This Christmas we put out our usual plea for helpers and to say we were inundated with offers is an understatement. In previous years we've always had teams of volunteers from local businesses but this year was different with so many people working from home. What we didn't expect was so many of those workers to contact us individually to offer their help. We've had over 400 fantastic volunteers who've supported the families, emptied boxes, packed boxes, flattened boxes, probably dreamt about boxes, welcomed donations and basically been absolutely wonderful. We can't thank you all enough but please know, without you, so many children wouldn't have woken up to Christmas presents this year. You're the best. Thank you.
