Our Family Basics project relies on donations of new or great quality second hand items.
Our need throughout the year changes depending on the season and what we are running low on to offer families.
Please refer to our requests below for what we currently need and what we cannot accept.

Key information before you donate:
- Second hand clothing donations must be in excellent quality condition – something you would be happy to give a friend.
- All baby equipment must come from a PET FREE and SMOKE FREE home.
- As we don’t have washing facilities, all donations must be clean and ready to give out to our clients.
- We accept clothing suitable for children but would also accept adults clothing that a teenager would be happy to wear.
- To minimise waste, we must check donations before they are accepted to ensure they are suitable for our projects. We reserve the right to politely decline any items that we deem unsuitable.

High Chairs – clean and with working safety straps.
Prams and Buggies – clean and with working brakes and safety straps.
Cots, Cot Beds and Toddler Beds – with mattress and fixtures.
New Moses basket mattresses.
New or great quality Second hand School uniform.
New Nappies (unopened).
New Toiletries (unopened).
New Bedding.
New and great quality second hand towels.

Open packets/bottles of toiletries.
Video games for any console.
Second hand soft toys.

Where to donate
We welcome donations at our base: Wood Street Mission, 26 Wood Street, Manchester, M3 3EF (Please note this is our only location).
We are open 08:30 – 16:30 Monday – Friday (Excluding Bank Holidays and please call the office for Christmas changes 0161 834 3140).
