Thank you for supporting our Christmas Project

We’ve now completed this year's Christmas Project and boy was it a big one! We had unprecedented demand for help this year and needed to provide food parcels for more than 1,900 local families and toys for over 4,100 kids who would otherwise go without. It was touch and go in the last few days as we looked certain to run out of toys for some age groups. However, thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, who whipped round with some last minute donations in response to an appeal on Twitter and Facebook, we were able to ensure that every single family who came to us for help received toys and treats for each of their children for Christmas morning.

To everyone who gave toys, food, money or time for our Christmas Project - thank you so, so much. You've helped to keep Christmas special for 1,000's of local children.

From all of us here at Wood Street Mission, and on behalf of all the children and families you've helped, we'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2013!
