Colourful Christmas Countdown

A giant advent calendar in the Northern Quarter is raising funds for our Christmas Appeal.

The 24 Days Of Lever Street calendar features specially commissioned work from some of the city’s best known artists and was created by design agency True North.

Profits from sales of the prints will go towards our appeal Christmas Should Be About More Than Survival.

True North’s creative director Ady Bibby said the idea was to “demonstrate the Northern Quarter’s creative talent whilst bringing a little festive cheer to the people who live and work here.”

The agency designed two of the windows itself including one celebrating our work which will be unveiled on 24 December. Other artists whose work is featured include Stanley Chow, Young, Deanna Halsall and Hyper Island.

The calendar’s launch was covered on BBC, ITV Granada and generated lots of interest on twitter.
