It's Autumn - Harvest Appeal Time!

Our Harvest Appeal is now open.

Every Christmas we give food “hampers” to thousands of families to help with the costs of an expensive time of year.

Much of the food is collected during Harvest appeals organised by schools and churches in Manchester and Salford.

You can help local families and children this year by donating your collection to Wood Street Mission.

We are looking for the following non-perishable food items:

  • Tins of veg, fruit, meat, fish and soup
  • Packets of rice, pasta and cereals
  • Basics like sugar, tea and coffee
  • Jars of jam, sauces etc
  • “Luxury” items like biscuits, cakes, chocolates

We are appealing in particular for tins of fruit and vegetables, meat, cereal, as well as tea and coffee. Usually we don't get enough donations of these goods.
